Introducing Scott L. Milligen to the helm of Inner City Books:
” I’ve been working with Daryl since 1989 helping move Inner City Books forward as a niche publisher of Jungian thought and principles. It was Daryl’s wish that Inner City Books continue on after his demise, and my great honour to see that it happens.
I am proud to keep Inner City Books on the path that Daryl set out so many years ago and am confident that there will be new material to publish adding to the wide range of our titles.”

Inner City Books was started in 1980 to promote the understanding and practical application of the work of C.G. Jung. It is still the only publishing house in the world devoted exclusively to books written by Jungian analysts. There are now over 140 titles by over 50 authors in the series Studies in Jungian Psychology by Jungian Analysts – authoritative works on basic Jungian principles, women’s studies, spirituality, alchemy, relationships, dream and fairy tale interpretation, masculine psychology, midlife issues and much more.
Over two million books have been sold, with more than 300 editions in 27 languages, including Korean.
The honorary patron of Inner City Books is Marie-Louise von Franz, the legendary acolyte of Carl Jung, and a profound thinker and writer in her own right.
Other well-known Jungian thinkers who have published books with Inner City Books include Marion Woodman, Edward F. Edinger, James Hollis, and John P. Dourley.
Our archival newsletter Jung at Heart, featuring reviews of books published in the Series, is available on our website.
